Accepting new patients, start your journey with us today

Welcome to Park Street Dental & Implant Clinic

We are accepting new private patients into the practice

Park Street Dental & Implant Clinic, located in the seaside town of Deal in Kent, is a well-established modern dental practice, serving the community for many years.

We have a fantastic clinical team of 5 dentists and 3 hygienists, and we are delighted to have capacity to accept new private patients with good appointment availability.

Our vision is simple: we put you at the heart of everything we do. When it comes to your health and your smile, it’s always personal. We understand the need to feel at ease, to communicate and to understand. That’s why you’ll find our staff warm, open and knowledgeable, who will put you first every step of the way.

Treatments at Park Street Dental & Implant Clinic:

General dentistry

At Park Street Dental & Implant Clinic we know that every smile is unique. Regular check-ups are advised to complement a good daily oral health routine, and prevent gum disease and mouth cancer.

On your first visit, a complete health history will be taken to provide us with a broad understanding of your individual needs. Your dentist may take an x-ray of your teeth. An x-ray can be invaluable for ascertaining the current landscape of your jaw, for example the position of any wisdom teeth, and for diagnosing any issues that may otherwise go unnoticed.

At every check-up, your Deal dentist will perform a comprehensive examination of your mouth, teeth and gums. They will examine the health of the soft tissue in your mouth (cheeks and tongue), test your gums for any signs of gum disease and remove any plaque or harmful tartar. As well as teeth cleaning and oral health analysis, your Park Street Dental & Implant Clinic dentist will also offer mouth cancer screening and offer advice and guidance on continued and improved dental care.

Hygienist services

Regular visits to your hygienist puts you in the best position for detecting any oral health problems. Your local Deal hygienist’s key aim is to prevent and treat gum disease, which is now one of the leading causes of tooth loss in adults. By including regular professional teeth cleaning in your oral routine, you can help to prevent gum disease and tooth decay.

An appointment with your local Park Street Dental & Implant Clinic hygienist will involve an initial oral hygiene check-up, followed by a ‘scaling’ procedure. This is where any build-up of harmful plaque and tartar is carefully and gently removed from the surface of your teeth and around the gum line using scalers and curettes, which are specially designed tools to scrape away soft deposits. Hand-held mirrors help your hygienist to spot those missed areas and pinpoint plaque build-up. Following a good clean and analysis of overall gum health, they will give your teeth a shine and polish with a gentle, quiet air polisher to remove any superficial stains. In cases where there is decay, a hygienist may apply fluoride or an antibacterial gel.

Preventative and cosmetic surgery

For dental implants to work, there must be enough bone in the jaw, which is strong enough to hold and support the implant. If this is not the case, you may need some other treatment at your Deal dentist before your implant treatment can begin, such as bone augmentation, bone grafting or other oral surgery treatment.

At your initial consultation by your local Deal dentist, we will determine how much bone is available and the shape of the bone. This assessment is done through visual examination, palpation of the bone ridge and with advanced x-ray techniques.

Dental implants

At Park Street Dental & Implant Clinic, we are experts in replacing teeth. Using the latest dental technology we can help you achieve a beautiful, natural smile.

Dental implants are made of titanium and are placed directly into your jawbone – replacing your missing tooth root. After it’s fitted the bone surrounding the implant will gradually integrate with it, holding the implant firmly in place. A crown or bridge (false teeth) that match the colour and shape of your existing teeth is then fitted to the top of the dental implant(s).

Benefits of dental implants:
  • They’re a fixed alternative to removable dentures
  • They look, feel and function almost like natural teeth
  • They will offer you long-term stability and comfort
  • They prevent bone loss and stimulate bone structure
  • They last for many years if you look after your dental health
  • No adjustments are needed to other teeth to secure them
  • They’ll improve your speech and allow you to eat the foods you love

Types of dental implants
  • Single dental implants

A single dental implant is a great option if you only need one tooth replacing. It won’t affect your neighbouring teeth: allowing you to eat, smile and laugh with confidence.

  • Multiple dental implants

If you have more than one missing tooth, you don’t necessarily need implants to replace them all. An implant can be placed either side of the gap, and a bridge fitted to fill the space.

  • Dental implant secured dentures

Implant secured dentures or ‘clip in’ dentures are an effective solution if you don’t have many natural teeth left, but you do have enough jaw bone to support implants.

  • All-on-4

If you're looking for immediate functionality and improved aesthetics, All-on-4 is a dental implant treatment than can replace all your top and/or bottom teeth – in just one day.

Invisalign®

If you have been looking into teeth straightening treatments, you may have come across Invisalign® before and wondered what it’s all about. It is generally acknowledged that whilst fixed metal braces help to improve your smile in the long run, one of their main drawbacks is their appearance in the short run.

Invisalign® offers the patient a series of clear, removable aligners which are changed every 2-3 weeks. There is no tightening to be done, no changing of wires and no elastic bands to get in the way. Instead, all of the adjustments are made with one new aligner every few weeks.

Since the aligners are clear they are hardly visible in the mouth at all and will fit perfectly against your teeth. As each aligner is individually moulded to specifically fit each patient, Invisalign® is much more comfortable than conventional braces.

The time needed for Invisalign® to work its magic will depend on the severity of the patients case. This means that cost will also vary from patient to patient as some people will need many aligners and others will require just a few.

Teeth whitening

If you are dreaming of a whiter smile, we at Park Street Dental & Implant Clinic can make it a reality. Teeth whitening is a simple solution that can immediately improve the colour of your teeth and boost your self-confidence.

Our dentists will expertly assess your teeth to make sure they are suitable for a whitening treatment.

Before undergoing treatment your dentist will professionally remove stains from your teeth using a high-specification air polisher. This prepares your teeth to best receive the whitening application and ensures the correct shade is achieved.

Your dentist will provide a whitening treatment to use at home. While you’ll be using the kit at home, the treatment is tailored to your unique smile. First an impression of your teeth and jaw is taken, in surgery, to custom-make a mouthguard that will be crucial to your at-home kit. Then, from the comfort of your home and when it suits your schedule, you can begin the process of whitening your teeth. It is a simple procedure that involves applying a gel to your teeth. The mouthguard makes sure that the whitening gel is evenly and safely transforming the colour of your teeth.

This is a treatment that requires multiple applications, but the ease of having the tools at home, as well as the expert advice from your local Deal dentist, means that it is much easier to fit in and around your life.

Facial aesthetics

Of course, you can never stop the natural ageing process, but a healthy diet and lifestyle will help slow this down and may minimise aging effects. Regular exercise, keeping hydrated, along with a healthy diet will all help.

But if you’re looking for some help to look rejuvenated, and restore your personal confidence, facial aesthetic treatments may be used to soften lines and define facial contours.

We offer solutions to help you restore a healthier, younger looking you. These treatments are a fuss-free and straightforward option if you are looking to soften lines and wrinkles, or to lift your brows or jowls. Book a consultation to see if these treatments could suit you.

If ageing skin is a concern of yours then Park Street Dental & Implant Clinic are pleased to offer consultations for the following facial aesthetic treatments:

  • Dermal fillers
  • Solutions for lines and wrinkles

Dermal fillers plump out fine lines and wrinkles to restore a more youthful appearance. At Park Street Dental & Implant Clinic we use a dermal filler called hyaluronic acid (HA), which is something that already naturally occurs in the body.

Why do dentists offer this treatment?

Dentists are highly knowledgeable about the anatomy of the face and understand how to treat it safely. They’re used to looking at people’s faces to observe symmetry and balance to create aesthetically pleasing smiles. Dentists also have skills honed with years of administering injections in difficult and restrictive areas, which also enables them to use traditional local anaesthesia if necessary.
